Eisenhower Ridge Building 19 Recognized at 2012 Capstone Awards

The Kansas City Business Journal’s Capstone Awards honors exceptional real estate and development achievements in the Kansas City metro area. Eisenhower Ridge Building 19 was presented with a Capstone in the office category. The development project, led by Pioneer Group, restored a historic building and brought 400 new jobs to Leavenworth, Kan.

University of Kansas School of Pharmacy won another award: 2011 Associated General Contractors of Kansas Award of Excellence.

On November 15, The National Housing & Rehabilitation Association presented Topeka developer Pioneer Group the Judges Award for Honorable Mention at the J. Timothy Anderson Awards for Excellence in Historic Rehabilitation for the adaptive reuse of Eisenhower Ridge Building 19. The award, given in the category of best commercial/retail/non-residential project, was announced at the NH&RA’s annual ceremony in Boston.

KSU Large Animal Research Center: Award Winning Design Build Project

Kansas State University's fast track Large Animal Research Center porject has won a prestigious Design Build Award. The project and the Design Build team which included McCownGordon Construction LLC, Kansas City, Mo.; Treanor Architects, Lawrence; and K-State officials, will be recognized at an awards ceremony Tuesday, Sept. 20, in St. Charles, Mo.

The National Housing & Rehabilitation Association announced Eisenhower Ridge Building 19, located in Leavenworth, Kan., as on of the finalists for this year’s J. Timothy Anderson Awards For Excellence in Historic Rehabilitation.

The annual “Timmy Awards” honor outstanding real estate projects that involve the rehabilitation and preservation of older and historic buildings nation-wide. New Century Adult Detention Center Wins National Award

Johnson County's New Century Adult Detention Center received a Merit Award at the Academy of Architecture for Justice's annual conference last month in Boston. The project is featured in the AIA's 2010 Justice Facilities Review. Designed in conjunction with HOK Architects, the $52 million project includes 554 new beds, administrative segregation, disciplinary segregation, maximum custody, special needs, and medium/minimum custody beds as well as a remodel of the existing facility to accommodate projected inmates and staff. The new building is connected directly to the existing facility with a secure link.

The University of Kansas School of Pharmacy New Teaching and Administration Building, designed by Treanor Architects, was selected to appear as an Outstanding Design in the 2010 American School & University Educational Interiors Showcase "work-in-Progress" category. This year, the panel of Educational Interiors Showcase judges selected 95 projects to be profiled in the August issue of American School & University.
